Activity: Open Water Dive III (Open Water Diver)
Comments: Practiced underwater navigation using compass. After that we were supposed to be leisure diving, but since there were so many in the water at the same time diving together as a team, we had to go up before we reached to that point. The water was murky and the only thing you really could see was Sea Cucumbers.

Comments: Practiced mask clearing, controlling emergency and swimming vertical at 12 meters deep. After that we did some leisure diving where we spotted Jenkins Whipray and Blacktip Reef Shark. The Water was clear so I could see much more than what I did at Che Isa, where we dived the day before.

Comments: Terrible visibility and therefor not that much to see either. There were lots of particles and tentacles from jellyfishes floating around in the water causing bad visibility and uncomfortable stings on the skin. The most fun about this dive was probably when I saw the Lionfish for the first time ever. We had an underwater photographer to take pictures of us.

Activity: Leisure Dive
Comments: Great dive. My instructor showed me things I normally wouldn’t see If I was all by myself down there or with a buddy with the same experience as me. She had brought a underwater slate with her which she used to write down the names of the different species of fish and then point at them. I saw two of the animals on the list of dive site hazards; the Demon Stinger and the Titan Triggerfish. The Titan Triggerfish attacked me and bit my fins for quite some time before I realized what was actually going on. At first I thought it was my buddy laying too close to me and thereby kicking my fins.

Activity: Confined Water I & II – Refresher
Comments: My first dive in two years, so I had to do a couple of exercises/skills as a refresher. The waves were quite strong, which made the skills more difficult than they had to be. Still managed to do them just fine and when that was done, the rest was just leisure diving. Saw an about 1 m long Blacktip Reef Shark at 5 m just as we turned around heading towards the shore again.

Comments: There was absolutely no currents or waves so the dive was very enjoyable, although I didn’t really see that much special. The Titan Triggerfish was about the only potential hazard at the dive site and I did see it, so I was quite happy. This was also the finishing dive towards getting the Padi Scuba Diver certificate.

Activity: Confined Water I & II
Comments: My very first dive. Did a couple of skills from Confined Water I & II at the start of the dive. I wasn’t really paying that much attention to different species of fish and aquatic life this dive, but I do remember that there was a lack of things to see. This dive was more about getting neutrally buoyant and getting used to the scuba equipment. Not my best dive, but still one of the most important ones.
